paramita + bones

"All water is alive, but by virtue of its very movement it is infused with additional power and strength. Life is motion, vibration and change, just as the water of a rive is constantly changing from second to second. When we meditate on rivers, our conscousness merges with that of the waters; freed from the artificial self-imposed constraints of time and space, we encounter that which cannot be measured. The Sen patriach Hui Neng taught his disciples that the far bank across the ever-flowing river was paramita, awaiting our awareness of its presence"
from John Archer - The Wisdom of Water

"Many freshwater springs well up from the ocean floor, reaching the surface of the sea with a fountain-like dome. People living in the Greek Islands used to row out to swim in their pristine water and take barrels of it home to drink"

Our other salient reminder of this lesson is bones
